I am loving National stationery week this week, if you haven’t seen my fave notebooks and diaries post check it out! I thought I would do the same and share some of my most reached for pens.
I didn’t realise until I did this post, quite how many pens I own. Most of these are ones I use day after day, they can usually be found floating around in the debris at the bottom of my handbag, but some of them are lucky enough to be in my pencil case or in my Hornsea pen pot.
The number one.
The Staedtler Triplus Fineliner will always be my number one. I have about 20 of these to ensure that there is always one in easy reach.
I find it’s their perfect pen to write with, looks smart writing cards and things and is really great for drawing with.
I LOVE IT.
I’m a girl that loves to highlight. If I can colour code it or make it look prettier in any way it’s a given I’m going to use a highlighter.
I’m a big fan of the sharpie highlighters, I think the colour of them is really strong and they are sleeeeeek!
Also I’m obviously loving the boss of the highlighters-Stabilo Boss. I love the green and orangey-pink ones best, so pretty!
The fabric one.
I occasionally work as a costume designer so having a pen that works on fabrics is a massive must. This fabric pen from Korbond is perfect for everything whether it’s writing names on smelly socks or marking out materials.
Also when it’s the only thing I can find its pretty good on paper too!
The fancy ones.
Two of my fave pens are probably the most impractical, but who can say no to Disney princesses, glitter and fluff? Not me!
The Gel Pens.
Nine year old Emma LOVED a gel pen. Glitter, scented, pastel ,I welcomed them in to my collection and every piece of homework could be guaranteed to be gel penned to the max. At twenty five I still love a gel pen although my collection is a lot smaller! Amongst my faves are a cute pink number from paperchase, uniball signo gold and silver and a green/gold Sakura Gelly Roll. Beautiful.
I always have a black sharpie to hand, I am a massive sharpie fan. They are a pen that lends themself to any situation not just crafting.
I keep banging on about how epic the 80’s glam sharpie set is and I’m not going to stop any time soon. I love every pen in this set, the possibilities are endless, but my faves are these pastel shades hands down.
The old one.
I got this biro about 7 years ago from my workplace of the time. We were all assigned a pen, as they were always going missing. I’m pleased to say that this pen is still going strong. It’s been through the wars, helped write many an essay, drawn many doodles and scrawled many to do lists. Well done little biro.
I just love a good pen.
