I’m almost positive that it was only last week I reviewed the July Messy Box, yet its that time of the month again where we swoon over pretty crafty bits and justify subscribing to it!
For those of you new to the messy box bandwagon, it’s a subscription box made by the beauties over at A Beautiful Mess full of crafts and scrapbooking materials. It always contains A4 sheets, A5 Postcards, 3×4 Cards and small square cards. Everything else is a mystery!
The boxes are always themed, check out my previous reviews for June and July to see how different they can be. This month’s theme is decidedly Marble/Geode, there is no denying it. Full of pink and blue tones with splashes of gold it really is a full on ensemble.
As we know from previous boxes I LOVE a piece of acetate, this months agate themed golden beauty is the one! Not sure yet what I’ll use it for, maybe just look at how pretty it is every now and then.
The star piece of this box is a date stamp, handy for craft and normal life. It has all the date options up until 2025 so will be hanging around my craft table for a while yet. It’s perfect for scrapbooking or just stamping bills with pretty coloured ink to make life a little bit better.
My absolute fave this month are these Puffy Lip Stickers, they look like something straight out of the nineties and I am so in love with them. Perfect for giving anything a girly spin, I cant wait to use them!
Card letters seem to be becoming a staple in recent boxes, last month we received gold metalic letters so it came as a surprise to me that this month also contained letters. August’s Letters are a laminated card, there is one of each letter of the alphabet. This annoys me a little as there is not many words you can spells out, more vowels up in here please. However I’m sure these will come in useful im sure!
The marbled theme is strong over all of the paper and card pieces, there’s also a bit of ombre in there too.
I’m a sucker for a gold foiled postcard so this one had to make my faves list. This Life is beautiful quote card has already found its way onto my office wall. I would have loved a few more golden pieces- give me all of the shiny gold things please.
All of the A4 pieces continued the strong marble theme, except this beautiful one which is a gorgeous ombre piece, I think it would look great at a backing in a frame. It reminds me of the sea.
These are definitely my favourite pieces from this month’s box, I really wish there were more of the quote postcards in this box, but ill take this one and love it!
I did feel that this month’s box was so strongly themed that I was overwhelmed with pink and blue marbling. Which is luckily up my street, but maybe isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!
Let me know what you think of this months Messy box, are you loving the marbled month?
