Woah Hello Christmas!
Since I was little, one of my fave Christmassy things to do was the annual pilgrimage to hobbycraft with my mum to get the Christmas craftiness we needed. I go to Hobbycraft practically weekly now, so the novelty has worn off ever so slightly, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t get me very excited! Christmas is an excuse to get even more glittery craftiness, so it will always be of my fave Hobbycraft trips.
Let’s start with my most favourite thing. These wooden bear embellishments are so cute I could cry, look at that little paw waving! I’m not 100% sure what I’ll use these for yet but I’m sure you’ll see them again in a DIY soon!
I’m getting major feels for everything copper this holiday season, so I wanted to stock up on some copper thread. I picked up this beautiful Gutermann metallic coppery thread, I think it will be the perfect component to a few crafty projects I’ve got planned!
Gutermann Copper Metallic Thread £1.65 ( Find similar here)
Next up is diamantes! What is Christmas without sparkle? These adhesive diamantes are so handy to have around, perfect for sticking on presents, cards or anywhere that needs sparkle for that matter!
I bought these last year but ended up not using them. So obviously this year it made sense to buy another pack! This year I will use them, I promise! I think these look stunning as plain white porcelain baubles or you can get creative and do whatever you want with them. I feel like something using a sharpie will be up my street!
Along the same DIY bauble theme, I also picked up these bad boys. Clear plastic baubles that come apart so that you can fill them with anything; Feathers, sequins, glitter or even mini Christmas scenes!
I also picked these up last year and filled them with sequins. I can reuse them this year with different insides, which is really handy.
Clear Fillable Bauble 6 Pack £3.00
Glitter paper is one of my newest fave craft products, it has so many uses! I picked up a black/white/silver pad for Halloween It was awesome! I saw this rose gold/copper glitter pad and couldn’t leave it behind. It had some beautiful gold tones from copper to lighter champagne colours, perfect for Christmas and new year celebrations.
I picked up these paper pouches as I thought they would be perfect for advent calendar making. However, they are also perfect for cute little gifts, maybe even gift cards. I picked these up from the wedding section, which I always shimmy around as although I’m not getting married there are lots of pieces in there that are transferable to normal life.
Wooden numbers! For advent calendar making of course! 1-25 in case you want to be untraditional and include Christmas day!
Wooden numbers £1.00
White feathers, just because! I thought it was time to add some feathers to my craft hoard, and white ones make me get major Christmas feels so why not!
White Feathers £1.50
Christmas stamps! I’m new to the clear stamp bandwagon, so I’m jumping in whole heartedly by picking up five Christmas stamps. Four of these were in the 50p basket so were a total bargain. The Father Christmas one I couldn’t resist though he will be perfect on wrapping!
Snowflake Stamp 50p
Scandi Poinsettia 50p
Sleigh Stamp 50p
Northern Star Stamp 50p
Father Christmas Mail Stamp £1.00
