DIY Glass Diorama Bauble

DIY Glass Diorama bauble.

When I was little my nan had some beautiful plastic diorama baubles (she probably still has them!). I always wanted to jump inside and join the ice skating scene inside.

This year I was desperate to make a diorama tree decoration, with a modern twist. Luckily I found these wonderful glass baubles in hobbycraft to fill with glitteryness, so set about making a woodland scene. I am so happy with how these turned out, how cute do they look?

You will need:

Step One:

Using the glue gun, glue both trees into the bauble. Don’t worry about being liberal with the glue.img_3108-copy

Step Two:

If you have plain wood slices, stamp or draw a Christmas sentiment onto one side.

Glue the wood slice, upright at the front of the bauble.

Step Three:

Add any woodland creatures, in my case a cute bear, upright in the front of the bauble.img_3114-copy

Step Four:

Mix up a runny mix of glitter, PVA Glue and a little water.

Use a brush to drop it into the bauble to create a covering of snow!

Step Five:

Use the paint marker to add dots to the outside of the bauble.

I am so happy with how these turned out I can’t wait to pop them on the tree this year!
