Since it was my birthday last week, I wanted to send a few Thankyou cards. Particually to my grandparents as they love a thankyou card!
I can never find a pack of Thankyou cards I like, so I wanted to make my own. As I forgot to do them at christmas it’s even more important to remember to write them on my birthday! As I had a few to make I wanted to keep it simple as well as giving my new marbling kit a go!
I thought I’d share this simple Thankyou card make with you, so that you don’t get in trouble with your grandparents either!
You will need:
- Watercolour paper ( Mines from Tiger £3)
- Black fine liner ( My Fave is a Staedtler triplus fineliner)
- Glue Stick
- Marbled paper.
Take a piece of the watercolour paper, fold it in half and cut into two. Try to do your best straight line cutting!
Fold each half in half again to make a small card.
Take your marbled paper and write Thankyou in capital letters in the centre of the paper using your fine liner.
Draw centimetre lines in a circle around the word, then add leaves. Fill in gaps with flowers and dots.
Trim down the marbled paper around your beautiful drawing, I cut some into a long thin rectangles and some into circles.
Glue your marbled paper onto your card.
Add a lovely thankyou message and pop your cards into the post, let good old snail mail take its course!
